Reber Rock Farm (2)
Essex, NY
Low-interest bridge loan funded May 2025
This is our second time supporting Reber Rock Farm with financing, and we were thrilled to partner with them again as their thriving livestock operation expands.
Reber Rock Farm is a pasture-based livestock and maple syrup farm in Essex, New York, run by Racey Henderson and her family. Since 2013, they’ve grown their operation significantly, now producing 8,500 broilers and 83 pigs annually on 400 acres. Their dedication to regenerative agriculture and community connection has been a constant.
The farm also hosts RANWI, a somatic coaching and wellness program that invites people to reconnect with land, food, and self. Reber Rock delivers pasture-raised meats directly to customers across the country and collaborates with other regional producers to strengthen the rural food economy. They are equally committed to food justice, accepting Fair Food Pricing Cards, donating to WIC and local food pantries, and working toward SNAP certification.
A low-interest loan from Foodshed Capital helped Reber Rock bridge the reimbursable costs of a conservation cost-share contract through Essex County Soil & Water Conservation District. The funds will directly support the farm’s new compost program, allowing them to improve soil health, close nutrient loops, and deepen their regenerative impact while increasing revenue.
