Bookkeeping
Fellowship

In 2025, we are piloting a yearlong program for regenerative farm business owners that provides:

  • Free QuickBooks online subscription and onboarding support

  • Monthly account reconciliations

  • Quarterly financial analysis

  • Stipends for sustained participation.

Fellows will complete the program with accurate 2025 financials, the documents needed to apply for a loan, and the know-how to manage the business side of their farm going forward.

We have used insights from the Fellowship to develop our sliding scale All-Purpose Bookkeeping program (launching in 2026) and are actively fundraising to subsidize the cost of QuickBooks and monthly services for farmers.

Testimonials

“My experience working with the team at Foodshed Capital was phenomenal. Both Emily and Indy were extremely helpful, resourceful and patient. This process unveiled where our farm needed the most help, guided us to appropriate resources, and provided the necessary financial support to make that assistance possible.

Most importantly, this process has set us on a path towards fiscal strength, economic stability and a sound business foundation.”

“Working with the FoodCap team this year has been a tremendous blessing for us. From the beginning of the application process, the entire team has been extremely helpful, answering all our questions. I have found the QBO training sessions to be extremely helpful and productive. Thanks to FoodCap’s guidance, I now feel more confident in managing and organizing my business finances.”

“Since working with Foodshed Capital, I have become more aware of my profit and expenses, and now I better understand what I need to do to make my farming business successful. It really stuck with me when Emily said that getting a loan should not burden you financially; it should open up new avenues for you. I came to each weekly meeting with excitement because I knew that Foodshed Capital didn’t want to lend me money to make some money back on interest, but wanted to give me the information and tools I needed to be more informed about the financial side of my business.”
