Josie Porter Farm
Stroudsburg, PA
Low-interest bridge loan funded Oct. 2020
Since 2007, wife and husband team Heidi Secord and Gary Bloss have been growing vegetables in Stroudsburg, PA on the 42-acre Josie Porter Farm. Prioritizing soil health and vitality, these farmers grow a wide range of produce which they distribute to their community through a CSA program, on-farm store, online sales, and a subscription model. In addition to their own products, Josie Porter Farm partners with over forty local and regional producers to offer meat, dairy, grains, fruit, baked goods, and other value-added products in their store and online. A low-interest loan to Josie Porter Farm served as bridge funding through the Pennsylvania Farm Vitality Planning Grant program, which allowed Heidi and Gary to do some long-term business planning.
