This diversified livestock farm is operated by Vallerie and Cody Gillispie in Kents Store, VA. What started out as a homestead has expanded into a full-time venture producing grass-fed beef, pastured poultry, and non-GMO pork, Honoring the small-scale parameters of their seven acres, the Gillispies take care to manage the impact of their livesstock and keep their herds very small. Their low-interest loan will cover the costs of new infrastructure—new poultry processing equipment, and a new processing area and storage shed.
