Bri joined our team in April 2021. She is focused on developing and implementing our Black Farmer Equity Fund, as part of our effort to broaden and deepen Foodshed Capital’s support for farmers of color. Bri is a Richmond local and Virginia Commonwealth University business graduate. She has extensive experience working with community gardens and urban farms, including managing the Broad Rock Community Garden and curating classes and community events at Gilpin Court Community Garden in Richmond.

Bri also worked for nearly four years in the insurance industry as an accounts manager, and she runs her own custom online jewelry business. The combination of her business background and passion for agriculture makes her an excellent fit for our team. As part of our ongoing partnership with Local Food Hub in Charlottesville, the two organizations work together to share Bri's contributions. At Local Food Hub she assists with grower outreach, advancing equitable access to fresh food, independent farms, and fairness in farming.
